WELCOME TO JWCCC
Uniting Women
In Friendship And Volunteer Service
For The Good Of Our Community
And Beyond
The Junior Woman's Club of Chevy Chase is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization located in Chevy Chase, Maryland -- a neighborly suburb of Washington, DC. We are dedicated both to supporting the community and to having fun.
In addition to supporting organizations such as Operation Smile and Chevy Chase Firehouse, the JWCCC focuses on supporting initiatives that enhance the quality of life of women and children. As such, each year we adopt two Community Partners, putting our resources to work in a way that will make the most impact. Our current Community Partners are the National Center For Children and Families (NCCF) and Sasha Bruce Youthwork (SBY).

Junior Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase to Publish Community Cookbook
By Ben Gross April 11, 2012
The Junior Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase (JWC3) is reaching out to Chevy Chase cooks and businesses for their favorite recipes, which will be compiled into a “community cookbook.” Proceeds will support the club’s “Bistro Boyz” program at theNational Center for Children and Families (NCCF).
The Bistro Boyz program pairs young men residing at the NCCF with JWC3 members who share life skills such as healthy menu planning, budgeting, grocery shopping, and cooking. When the young men are ready to move to living on their own, they receive a Bistro Box, containing kitchen supplies so they can use the skills learned in the program.
"We are still busily seeking local businesses to join us in our community cookbook project by contributing recipes and advertising - which is vital to its success,” said JWC3 member Sandy Petrone. “There's still time for others to jump in before we send it off for publishing in June."
There are four ways to support the Bistro Boyz program:
- Pre-ordering the cookbook ($20.)
- Donating a cookbook for inclusion in a Bistro Boyz Box ($20.)
- A sponsorship package, which includes one recipe submission (with name or place of business) in the ‘Community Specialties’ section of the cookbook, and a half-page ad at the back of the publication ($50.)
- A website package, which includes everything in the $50 sponsorship package (with an enlarged full-page ad) plus a four-line ad in the cookbook section (with the option to renew annually for $20), a listing under “Generous Sponsors” and your recipe on the JWC3 website for one year ($100.) Sponsorship and donation payment information is available on the Junior Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase website.
